Siena raises $17m Series A to build AI customer agents for brands

6 October 2026: Siena, a New York company that sells AI agents to consumer brands, has raised a $17 million Series A led by York IE. Joyance Ventures, Aglaé Ventures, Sierra Ventures and Super Angel Fund also took part, according to the company's announcement.

Siena describes what it sells as an "Agent of Record": a layer of shared customer context across support, shopping, social and voice channels, so that an agent handling a social message knows what the same customer asked in a support chat last week. Andrei Negrau, who wrote the announcement, argues that "the customer is not particularly interested in your org chart", which is the company's case for one agent that remembers across channels rather than a separate bot per team.

The company says it serves hundreds of brands and has automated hundreds of millions of customer interactions. It names SPANX, FIGS, HexClad, Comfrt, Eskiin and Coterie as customers, and gives two examples of results. At Eskiin, weekly social engagement rose from about 1,600 to 2,400 interactions and the social lead gained roughly 15 hours a week. At Coterie, customer analysis that took several hours now takes 10 minutes. Both figures are Siena's own, supplied without customer comment.

The SaaS News, which also covered the round, lists total funding of $29.7 million and gives the founders as Negrau and Lisa Popovici, with the company founded in 2023 and based in New York. The company's own post does not repeat those details.

Siena says the money will go into more autonomous agents and the infrastructure behind them for consumer brands, with a focus on using the agents for revenue as well as cost. Buyers comparing it with other customer-service automation tools will find that its published results come from retail and direct-to-consumer brands, not from regulated industries.
