Vocca raises $20m Series A for AI that answers patient calls

6 October 2026: Vocca, a healthcare software company based in Paris and New York, says it has raised a $20 million Series A led by Norrsken VC. Heal Capital, Speedinvest and Firstminute Capital also invested, along with angels who include founders of Alan and Datadog. Vocca puts the total it has raised at $25 million.

Not yet independently verified. All usage and growth figures come from Vocca's own announcement and have not been checked independently. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

Vocca builds an AI voice platform that takes calls for medical practices, books appointments and handles the routine questions that otherwise tie up reception staff. It was founded in July 2024 by Eliott Hoffenberg, now chief executive, and Hugo Danet.

The company gives its own figures. It says 15,000 practitioners now use the platform, up from 2,000 at the time of its seed round, across 1,500 practices and more than 20 medical specialties. It reports over one million patient interactions a month, with 70% of conversations resolved without a human and 85% or more at its best-performing customers. It also says conversation volume grew tenfold and revenue sevenfold over the past year.

The new money will go into scheduling infrastructure for healthcare, including channels beyond voice, more specialties and harder clinical scenarios, and a stronger presence in the United States. Vocca says it has about 40 employees and plans to hire 40 more by the end of the year.

Hoffenberg says buyers of the service care about speed and edge cases more than cost: "Practices don't ask us about price. They ask how fast we can deploy and how we handle their edge cases."

Alexander Danielsson of Norrsken VC says of the company: "We've rarely seen customer love like this in healthcare...The team's vision goes far beyond phone calls."

Practices weighing the service can compare it with the appointment scheduling products in our directory, many of which are web booking tools rather than voice agents. The announcement does not state a valuation or list prices.
