How we use information

We use the information to operate and improve TrustList, to verify reviews, to keep the platform safe, to respond to your requests, and to communicate with you about the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising

TrustList carries advertising, including ads served by Google.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to TrustList or to other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies lets Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to TrustList and other sites on the internet.
• You can turn off personalised advertising from Google at Google's Ads Settings, and from many other vendors at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
• Google explains what it collects from sites that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
• In the UK and the EEA we ask for your consent before advertising cookies are set. If you do not consent you may still see ads, but they are not personalised; non-personalised ads still use cookies to cap how often an ad is shown and to detect fraud.
• Advertisers do not get your account details from us, and advertising never changes a rating, a review or a position in a ranking. Paid placements are labelled as sponsored.

TrustList runs this site and decides how the information described here is used. Write to hello@trustlist.uk for anything in this policy.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. You can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time from the Cookie Policy page. If you are in the UK or the EEA and you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to your data protection regulator; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
