Ampersand raises $15m to connect AI agents to CRMs and ERPs
6 October 2026: Ampersand, a San Francisco company that builds integration infrastructure for enterprise AI agents, says it has raised a $15 million Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Lauri Moore of Bessemer joins its board. The company puts its total funding at $20 million.
Not yet independently verified. The investor list beyond the lead comes from the trade summary only, not the company post. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
The trade site The SaaS News lists Matrix, Flex Capital, Yelp, Tenacity Capital, CTO Fund and Mana Ventures as other investors; Ampersand's own post does not name them.
Ampersand's argument is that AI agents are of little use unless they can read and change data in the systems where companies keep it. Its founder and chief executive Ayan Barua, a former chief technology officer at Siftery, frames it in the title of the announcement: "Enterprise AI is vaporware without access to systems of record." The other founder is Lauren Long, who previously led Firebase Extensions.
The company describes a problem it calls Tripartite Drift: the provider's API, the vendor's own code and each customer's implementation all change at different times, so integrations break and take engineers' time to repair. Ampersand sells the connection layer so that customers do not maintain it themselves. It says that over three years of development it has worked with 11x, Orb, Square and several fast-growing start-ups.
The funding has three stated uses:
- Extending integrations into ERPs and industry systems in healthcare, insurance, logistics and financial services.
- Building Andi, an AI integration agent that automates the configuration and upkeep of connections.
- Hiring specialists with deep knowledge of platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce and SAP.
The announcement does not disclose pricing, revenue or customer counts.
