TrustList Awards
Recognition that buyers can trust — every award is transparent, verifiable and tied to real review data, customer votes or expert evaluation. Each winner badge links back to a public verification page.
Entries are open
Free to enter. Categories, criteria and dates are published before entry closes, so you can tell whether you have a case before you enter.
No category has met the evidence bar yet
No edition has reached its results yet, so there is nothing to show here. A category is only decided once there is enough evidence to separate its entrants honestly — from an independent panel judging against published criteria, or from verified review data where the depth exists.
We would rather publish nothing than rank vendors on evidence we do not have. The criteria below are how winners are chosen, and every result links to a page where anyone can check it.
How TrustList Awards are decided
Every award is data-driven. Winners are computed from the same signals that rank the category pages — there is no jury of one, and no placement is ever sold.
- Step 1
Eligibility
A listing must be published on TrustList and carry a minimum number of customer reviews. Listings below that bar are not considered. If too few listings in a category qualify, the category is skipped entirely rather than given a manufactured shortlist.
- Step 2
What each listing is scored on
Winners are computed from the same review signals that rank the category pages:
- Average rating, Bayesian-smoothed
- A listing with a handful of five-star reviews is pulled toward the catalogue average, so it cannot outrank a strong score earned over hundreds of reviews.
- Review volume
- Log-scaled, so weight keeps growing with evidence but with diminishing returns — a listing does not win on volume alone.
- Profile completeness
- How much of the listing a buyer can actually evaluate: pricing, features, integrations, deployment and support detail.
- Trust Score
- TrustList's composite of verification, review activity, transparency and prior recognition.
- Step 3
Verifiable by anyone
Every award issued carries a unique identifier, and each winner badge links to a public verification page showing the award, the edition it belongs to and the date it was issued — so a badge on a vendor’s own site can always be checked against the record here.
Independence
Entry is free, and no placement in these awards can be bought. Paid visibility on TrustList is sold separately and is always labelled “Sponsored”; it never feeds an award score or an organic ranking.
