Fleuret raises €4m pre-seed for AI-run penetration testing

5 October 2026: Fleuret AI, a Paris startup that automates penetration testing with AI agents, has closed a €4 million pre-seed round led by RAISE Ventures. Auriga Cyber Ventures, Wind Capital and Better Angle joined, as did business angels from European cybersecurity, among them the chief executives of Stoïk and GitGuardian and co-founders of Vade and Almond.

The company argues that penetration testing is still mostly a one-off audit, a snapshot of a system that a deployment a few days later can already change. With NIS2 pushing more organisations to show how well they are secured, Fleuret wants testing to run continuously. Its platform is organised around five steps: know the exposed systems, find the vulnerabilities, prove they can be exploited, help fix them and check that they are fixed.

The work is done by two agents, Emile and Champollion. They map a company's environment, explore its applications, APIs and infrastructure, and try to exploit what they find. Each finding comes with a proof of compromise, and the platform keeps watching the attack surface and can start new tests when the system changes. The company is also building prioritisation by exploitability, links into engineering tools, automatic re-testing and reports that confirm a fix. It says the agents run from Europe on European infrastructure, which it presents as an answer to sovereignty requirements in regulated sectors.

Fleuret has around ten people and several customers, including Brevo, Stoïk and Yogosha. The round pays for hires in AI, software engineering and offensive security and for faster platform development.

Chief executive and co-founder Yanis Grigy said: "We do not simply want to automate penetration testing as it exists today." The other co-founder, chief technology officer Augustin Ponsin, and Grigy are graduates of Télécom Paris and EPITA who founded a penetration-testing company while still in preparatory classes.

Thibaut Schlaeppi, co-head of RAISE Ventures, said he is convinced Fleuret can become the reference in offensive security in Europe.
