6 October 2026: Flai, which sells AI agents that answer calls, texts and emails for car dealerships, has raised a $27 million Series A led by Base10 Partners. It launched an AI-native service and sales CRM alongside the round.

Not yet independently verified. Customer, growth and appointment figures are the company's own and not independently confirmed. Flai's headquarters city is not stated in the sources we read. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

Toyota Ventures, First Round Capital and Y Combinator, all earlier backers, took part, as did two dealer groups investing directly: The Friedkin Group and Findlay Automotive Group. Flai had raised a seed round of about $4.5 million led by First Round, extended earlier in 2026 with Toyota Ventures.

The company says it has grown revenue more than 20 times in the past year and now works with hundreds of dealerships, including more than 20% of the top 50 dealer groups in the United States. It says it books more than 50,000 appointments a month. Its agents handle service and sales contacts, run outbound campaigns such as recall and overdue-service reminders, and try to win back customers who have gone quiet.

The new CRM is the product step. Flai says a conventional CRM creates tasks and pipelines but relies on staff to notice an opportunity and act. Its version is built around agents that spot missed opportunities and operational problems, flag cases with a suggested resolution and report on what needs attention. Where an action can be automated, such as contacting a customer, holding the conversation, booking the visit or updating the dealership's systems, the agent does it. Where judgement is needed, it hands over to a named person with the context and a recommended next step.

The funding will go into product and engineering, deeper integrations with dealership systems and a wider set of workflows Flai can take over. Flai was founded in 2025 by Ari Polakof, Alen Polakof and Juan Alzugaray. "What started with automating dealership communications has become something much bigger," the company wrote in its announcement. Customers can contact sales@useflai.com.
