Plinto raises €2.9m to put AI agents on financial controls

Plinto is a Copenhagen company whose AI agents run financial controls on top of a company's ERP, banks and documents, checking invoices, orders and payments for finance and operations teams.
Plinto ApS is a Danish software company based in Copenhagen that builds autonomous agents for financial controlling. Its software sits on top of a company's existing ERP system and checks transactions as they happen, rather than reviewing them after the month has closed. The company announced a pre-seed round on 20 October 2026.
Plinto runs controls on every sales order, purchase invoice and bank payment. In the examples on its site, one control compares unit prices with the active agreement for a supplier, another looks for duplicate invoices, another asks the buyer to confirm that goods were delivered, and another checks that an invoice is posted to the right ledger accounts. When a control finds a problem, an agent gathers the missing context, for instance by messaging the person who can confirm a delivery, and then carries out the approved action, such as posting the invoice or scheduling the payment. Each transaction keeps a history of the controls and corrective actions applied to it, which the company presents as audit-ready records.
Plinto says it does not replace the ERP. It connects to ERP systems (Business Central appears in its examples), to more than 2,700 banks, to document platforms, and to Microsoft Teams and Slack. Its use cases are order-to-cash and procure-to-pay, and it names manufacturing, logistics, retail, real estate and professional services as industries.
The company says it is built for finance and operations teams that handle high transaction volumes and run controls across several systems. Its pages cover contract prices and inventory in manufacturing, carrier rates in logistics, supplier terms in retail, contract terms and VAT in real estate, and rates and unbilled work in professional services. The site is available in English, Danish and Swedish.
Plinto states that data is processed and stored only in the EU, is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is not used to train AI models. It describes itself as GDPR compliant and says ISO 27001 certification is underway. In its announcement, Plinto said it raised EUR 2.9 million in pre-seed funding from People Ventures and Emblem. The post says its founders played key roles at Peakon, and that Plinto now reviews and acts on thousands of transactions every day.
