Castr

Castr is a cloud platform for live video streaming, used by businesses, media teams, creators, schools, religious groups and non-profits. It brings live delivery, recording, hosting and on-demand video together in one service. Viewers can watch on the customer's own site or app as well as on social channels.

What Castr offers

• Multistreaming — sends one broadcast to several social networks and streaming destinations at the same time.
• Stream hosting and embedding — places a player on the customer's own website or on OTT streaming services.
• Video on demand — turns finished live shows into recordings that viewers can pause, skip and rewind.
• Pre-recorded playout — schedules recorded videos to go out as if they were live.
• OTT and monetisation — runs branded streaming apps and lets customers earn from live and recorded video, with no commission taken.
• Extras — IP camera streaming, cloud storage, chat overlay and timeshifting.

Who it works with

The platform is aimed at production teams handling client events, media and OTT operators, organisations that stream internally or to the public, and sports or ticketed events. A separate self-serve option exists for churches and ministries.
