Cleavr raises EUR 8 million seed led by Varsity for AI accounts-receivable collection
French start-up Cleavr, which automates invoice collection for finance teams with AI, says it has raised EUR 8 million in a seed round led…
Cleavr is a French software company that automates accounts receivable, the work of collecting payment on invoices that customers have not settled. Its platform contacts customers through email, SMS, automated voice calls and WhatsApp, follows a sequence of reminders set by the finance team, and records disputes when a customer contests an invoice so that they can be handled separately rather than chased automatically. It also reconciles incoming payments against open invoices and can move an unpaid case on to legal proceedings when reminders fail.
The company sells to chief financial officers and finance teams, and its site names logistics, transport, industrial, construction and software businesses among the sectors it serves, from small firms to larger groups. Cleavr says more than 100 companies adopted the product within its first seven months; that figure is the company's own.
Its founders include Baptiste Nassoy, its chief executive, and Arthur Guerin. It raised a EUR 1 million pre-seed round in March 2026 and, in October 2026, a EUR 8 million seed round led by Varsity, which it says will fund growth across Europe and product development.
