Two French calls for data spaces and 6G standards closed early when their money ran out; the EIC Accelerator, SPRIND, FFG, Bpifrance and Chips JU calls close between 3 November and mid December 2026.

Europe: funding calls and deadlines closing soon (week of 2 November 2026)
2 November 2026: Two French calls that our edition last week listed as open are gone: Bpifrance closed its data spaces call and its call for future network standards on 20 October, by order of the Prime Minister, because their funds were used up. Some twenty other calls for European software, AI, chip, health and cybersecurity companies remain open, from the EU and funders in eight countries, with the EIC Accelerator's last 2026 cut-off on 4 November. Each was read on its own page or in the EU portal's data today, and amounts and deadlines are given as the funder states them.
Not yet independently verified. EU Chips JU, EuroHPC and I3 deadlines come from the Funding and Tenders portal's own data, which gives dates without a time or zone, and their amounts were not read from the call documents. The EIC STEP Scale Up cut-off of 25 November that we gave last week could not be confirmed on the EIC or portal pages today. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
Two French calls ended weeks early
Espace de données, Bpifrance's call for data-sharing spaces, had a final cut-off of 2 December 2026. Its page now says the scheme "est clôturé à la date du 20 octobre 2026", ended by a decree of the Prime Minister. Standardisation des réseaux du futur, which paid companies to take part in 6G and 3GPP standards work, closed the same day; its cut-offs of 16 November, 15 December and 15 January 2027 no longer apply. The Invest auto 2 call for road vehicles and components passed its 28 October deadline and has left the Bpifrance list.
A French company that was preparing a bid for either call has no later round to aim at. Bpifrance's other calls in this edition were still listed as open today.
EU programmes closing this month
EIC Accelerator: the last 2026 batch of full proposals is cut at 5 p.m. Brussels time on 4 November. Short proposals can be sent at any time and are batched "every first Tuesday of the month at 5pm Brussels time". The grant component is below EUR 2.5 million and the equity component EUR 1 to 10 million, from 2026 budgets of EUR 414 million (Open) and EUR 220 million (Challenges).
EIC STEP Scale Up still accepts applications: its page says a company "can apply anytime via the Funding & Tenders Portal". Last week we gave a cut-off of 25 November at 17:00 CET; neither the EIC page nor the portal data showed that date today, so check the portal before planning around it.
NLnet Restack, the Horizon Europe-funded Open Internet Stack call for open source software and hardware, closes on 3 November at 12:00 CET, with proposals from EUR 5,000 to EUR 50,000.
Chips Joint Undertaking: two AI calls close on 1 December 2026, one for AI chip demonstrators for EU compute infrastructure (AI1-SG) and one, new to this edition, for a platform to evaluate and deploy AI compute (AI-GFP). The EU and Japan semiconductor collaboration call (SG-JAPAN) closes on 8 December.
EuroHPC quantum calls for quantum key distribution, testing infrastructure, neutral-atom, trapped-ion and superconducting platforms and experimental pilot lines all close on 17 November, and the two Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) strands on 12 November. Both are consortium calls.
EIT Urban Mobility's SME Market Expansion call pays a EUR 60,000 lump sum to about ten SMEs that bring an end client, and closes on 1 December at 17:00 CET.
Germany: three SPRIND challenges
SPRIND's AI-Native Chip Design challenge takes applications "until November 30, 2026, at 11:00 (CET)" and pays up to EUR 9.6 million per team over two stages, EUR 2.6 million in the first. Engineering Microbial Consortia, a new challenge on AI-driven microbial communities for biomanufacturing, closes on 16 November at 11:00 CET with up to EUR 4.3 million per team. Measuring with Entanglement closes on 9 November at 12:00 CET, with up to EUR 545,000 per team in its first stage.
Austria: FFG calls through December
- Nationale Ko-Förderung DIGITAL Europe, third call: closes 3 November; about EUR 957,158 for Austrian organisations in Commission-funded Digital Europe projects.
- Leading Companies Roadmapping, phase 1: closes 30 November at 12:00; up to EUR 150,000 per project and up to 50% of eligible costs, for companies established in Austria.
- Digital Health Austria Leitprojekte: closes 30 November; consortia of at least three, including two companies (one an SME) and an Austrian research body, with grants of up to 80% of eligible costs.
- ASAP and Digitaler Zwilling Österreich: closes 9 December at 12:00; about EUR 13 million for earth observation, navigation, satellite communications, space technology and digital twins.
- Industrial AI Upper Austria: closes 10 December at 12:00; about EUR 4 million in total and EUR 100,000 to EUR 600,000 per project, for cooperative research by Upper Austrian companies and institutions, submitted in German.
France, Luxembourg and Ireland
Bpifrance's France and Germany call pairs a French firm with a German SME for innovation aid of EUR 50,000 to EUR 3 million and closes on 18 November. Innowwide pays EUR 60,000, covering 70% of the cost of a feasibility study for a market outside Europe, and closes on 1 December.
Luxembourg widened its Fit 4 programmes (Digital, AI, Sustainability, Performance) on 13 October to companies of every size, with aid of 70% for small, 60% for medium and 50% for large firms on projects of EUR 1,000 to EUR 100,000; Luxinnovation now files the application. A new Fit 4 Cybersecurity, announced on 23 October with the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity, co-finances an expert cyber diagnosis at up to 70% for small businesses. Neither has a closing date.
Ireland's Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund, call 8, holds EUR 40 million for consortia and closes on 3 February 2027 at 3 p.m. Irish time, after a mandatory pre-eligibility check.
Still open from earlier editions
Italy's EUR 150 million cloud and cybersecurity voucher opens for applications at 12:00 on 10 November and runs to 20 January 2027, paying up to 50% of costs and at most EUR 20,000. Business Finland's DUT call closes on 17 November. The Czech OP TAK international cooperation call closes on 30 November. Bpifrance's CORAM call runs to 15 December at noon Paris time.
For Spain, Greece and the Eureka programmes, the funders' pages either gave no dated call or could not be read today, so they are left out of this edition rather than repeated from last week.
