Spotable raises 4 million euro seed round for AI roof measurement and quoting software
30 September 2026 — Spotable, a software company based in Ghent, Belgium, has announced a 4 million euro seed round. The company's own post, dated 30 September, says the money will fund product development and expansion into France, Germany and the United States.
Not yet independently verified. Investors are private individuals and a family office; no institutional lead is named. The two sources give slightly different investor lists (the company also names an investment broker). Customer and area figures are the company's own claims. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
The round
Spotable states the round as 4 million euro, at seed stage. Its investors are private: Jonas Dhaenens of team.blue, Christophe Morbee of NewSchool.vc, the family office of Hilde Cloostermans and Philip Corens, and Arne Vandendriessche, chief executive of Get Driven. The company's post also mentions an investment broker, The Harbour. No venture fund is named as lead. FinSMEs reported the round on 5 October. One co-founder is quoted saying the company did not want to spend ten years building in Belgium before looking at America.
What the company does
The platform turns a property address into a three-dimensional model of a roof or facade, with automatic surface measurements, material take-off, labour estimates, pricing and quote generation. It is aimed at roofers, facade companies and other building-envelope contractors. The company says it was founded in September 2024, began commercial sales in September 2025, has about 350 customers, mostly in Belgium and the Netherlands, and has modelled more than ten million square metres of roof, with a team of around 30 people.
Why it matters for buyers
For small contractors, the cost of site visits and manual measuring is a real overhead, and automated take-off is one of the more practical uses of AI in construction. A seed round of this size gives Spotable runway to widen coverage beyond its home markets, which matters because aerial and address-based modelling depends on local imagery and building data. Buyers outside Belgium and the Netherlands should expect coverage to be uneven until the planned expansion happens.
What to check
- Coverage and accuracy in your own country and for your building types, ideally by comparing a handful of quotes against site measurements.
- Where the imagery and building data come from, and any licence limits on using the output in client documents.
- Pricing per measurement or per seat, and whether quotes can be exported to existing estimating or accounting tools.
- Handling of customer addresses and project data, including where it is stored.
- Whether a human can correct a model before it becomes a quote, and who is liable if a measurement is wrong.
The traction figures are the company's own. Buyers should ask for references from customers of a similar size before relying on them.
