Aikido buys Cyberly and Outkept to launch Noon for employee security

20 October 2026: Aikido Security, the Ghent company known for application security tools aimed at developers, says it acquired two companies in September, Cyberly and Outkept, and has used their teams to build Noon, a security platform for every employee rather than just engineers. Terms were not disclosed.

Not yet independently verified. Aikido gives no price or closing dates beyond "September"; the Warsaw details come from MamStartup, and Noon is in early access with no published pricing. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

The two acquisitions

Cyberly, a Warsaw start-up, brings expertise in AI-native attack simulations. Outkept, a Belgian company, spent nearly a decade on email security and phishing awareness training. Aikido says both founding teams are building Noon with it. MamStartup reports that Cyberly's four co-founders stay in Poland and that Warsaw becomes one of Noon's development hubs.

"With Noon, we're bringing that same approach to workforce security, backed by Aikido's global reach," said Alex Horlach, a co-founder of Cyberly. Simon Bauwens, a co-founder of Outkept, said "AI has fundamentally changed how we need to train and protect employees."

What Noon covers

Aikido's pitch is that people, not novel AI attacks, remain the most likely route into a company, and that employees now also install AI tools, connect MCP servers and give agents access to company data. Noon brings four things into one product:

  • email security that detects and removes threats from inboxes that traditional filters miss;
  • AI governance that discovers which models, MCP servers and AI tools teams use, keeps sensitive data out of prompts and enforces policies by team;
  • device protection against malicious packages, extensions, agent skills, AI tools and risky sites;
  • training and simulations of phishing, vishing, smishing and deepfakes, personalised by role and delivered in Noon or in Slack, Teams or Google Chat.

Where it fits

"We built Aikido to secure developers. Today we launch Noon to protect everybody else," the company writes. The move takes a developer-security vendor into a market long held by separate email security, security awareness and endpoint vendors, and bets that buyers want those controls from one supplier now that AI tools sit on every laptop. Noon is available through an early-access programme, with no pricing yet. Aikido is registered in Ghent, with offices in Chicago and London.
