RevRag AI raises $2.5m for in-app AI agents at banks and lenders
14 October 2026: RevRag AI, a Bengaluru company that puts AI agents inside the mobile apps of banks, lenders, fintechs and insurers, has raised 2.5 million dollars in a seed round. Accion Ventures led it with Cedar Hill Capital, and Wyser and Venture Catalysts also took part, according to Entrackr. The company says the money will go on product development, more enterprise deployments and an entry into the US market.
Not yet independently verified. RevRag AI's own site carries the 2.5 million dollar seed round only as a banner; the investors, the use of funds and the customer list come from Entrackr's reading of the company's release, which we have not found on RevRag's site. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
Agents that live inside the app
RevRag sells what it calls AI relationship managers. Its in-app copilot agents sit inside a financial app, understand its screens and can take actions alongside the customer, such as finishing an onboarding step or completing a form. A second product presents the agent as a lifelike avatar for a face-to-face style conversation. The agents work in several languages and are aimed at the points where customers drop out: onboarding, product sales and support.
The company claims its agents raise digital adoption and cut drop-offs at up to 70 per cent lower cost than the alternatives, a figure it does not explain.
Customers and history
RevRag says it works with more than 45 financial institutions, among them PhonePe, Bajaj Finance, Motilal Oswal, IIFL and Aditya Birla Capital. It was founded in 2022 by Ashutosh Prakash Singh, Neeraj Gupta and Pankaj Gupta. Its previous round was a 600,000 dollar pre-seed led by Powerhouse Ventures in August 2024, and in September 2025 it acquired GenStaq.ai, a small LLMOps and workflow orchestration company.
Accion Ventures is the venture arm of Accion, the non-profit that invests in financial inclusion, which fits a product built for Indian lenders and their mass-market customers.
What regulated buyers will ask
An agent that takes actions inside a bank's app is closer to a teller than a chatbot. Indian lenders using one will want to know how its actions are logged, how consent is captured for each step, and where customer data is processed, since the Digital Personal Data Protection rules and the Reserve Bank's outsourcing guidance both apply. RevRag's planned move into the US will bring a separate set of state and federal rules.
