Claimlane raises EUR 5.6 million for AI agents that handle product claims

5 November 2026: Claimlane, a Copenhagen company whose software runs warranty claims, repairs, replacements and refunds for brands and retailers, says it has raised a EUR 5.6 million Series A. The round is backed by Verb Ventures, Skagerak Capital and Vendep Capital. The money goes into two things: AI agents built around each customer's own products, warranty policies, supplier agreements and workflows, and growth in the United States. Chief executive and co-founder Anders Sommer has moved to Austin to lead it.

Not yet independently verified. Claimlane does not say which investor led the round or when it was founded; the 150% and 20,000 figures are its own. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

The claim behind the claim

Claimlane's argument is that one broken product sets off several decisions: whether the warranty covers it, what went wrong, who pays, and whether to repair, replace or refund. Those decisions often sit in email threads and spreadsheets shared by the customer, retailer, supplier, manufacturer and repair partner. Its platform connects those parties to a single case and lets a team trigger the repair, replacement, refund or credit note through connected systems. The company says its network spans more than 20,000 retailers and brands. Named customers include Skechers, Black Diamond, tonies and Hummel.

Agents that read the policy before the case

The new agents are being built, in Claimlane's words, "to assess each case against a business's own policies and processes and help move claims towards resolution, with people involved wherever judgement is needed". It plans to deepen their knowledge of categories such as electronics, furniture and outdoor equipment. "We believe enduring AI businesses will combine specialised knowledge with the ability to execute within real workflows," said Alexey Bulygin, a principal at Verb Ventures. "Claimlane's network and operational role provide a foundation that is difficult to replicate with AI alone."

North America is already its biggest source of new customers

Claimlane says North America has been its largest market for new customers this year. It puts the growth in US sales opportunities at 150% year on year and says the value of newly created pipeline has doubled. "The demand we're seeing from US brands and retailers makes our next move clear: we're investing in building a major business here," Sommer said. The company keeps teams in Copenhagen and London alongside the Austin office. Its angel investors include Mette Hoi Davidsen, Nicolaj Reffstrup and Jesper Eiby.
