Flagship ranking · Q4 2026 edition

This ranking covers accounting, audit and tax firms in the United Arab Emirates, from long-standing audit practices to company-formation and VAT consultancies. TrustList lists 84 of them, and 25 earned a rank number in the Q4 2026 edition. Among the ranked, 3 cite ISO 9001, one holds a professional accreditation and one is a Microsoft partner. Twenty-two state a founding date, nine of them in the 2010s, with one dating to the 1970s. Dubai is the most common base (12), followed by Abu Dhabi (5).

How to choose accounting firms

1. Ask who licenses the firm
Auditors in the UAE need a licence from the relevant authority. Ask for the licence details and whether the firm can sign audits for your free zone, as some zones keep approved lists.
2. Check tax agent registration
For VAT or corporate tax filings, ask whether the firm is registered as a tax agent with the Federal Tax Authority, and who in the team will handle your returns.
3. Mainland or free zone
Rules differ between mainland companies and free zones. Ask for examples of clients in your jurisdiction and how the firm keeps up with changes.
4. Keep audit and books separate
Independence matters. If the same firm keeps your books and audits them, ask how it separates the teams and who reviews the work.
5. Settle language and reporting
Confirm whether reports are in English, Arabic or both, and which standards they follow, such as IFRS. Ask for a sample report layout.
6. Get fees and scope in writing
Ask for a written engagement letter listing deliverables, fixed or hourly fees, and the cost of backlog clean-ups or extra filings.
