Well I just started working at the Whitefire Theatre 3 years ago
But my Christmas show, Santasia, has been performing there for the past 16 years

They don’t do well with change
They’ve been using Brown Paper Tickets forever
The theatre started Live Stream
ing shows a couple years ago and with Covid-19 we’re unable to have live audiences
We were already ahead of the game
Lots of theatres in Los Angeles have closed but we are lucky enough to keep plugging along with the Live Stream performances
In April we started Live Streaming solo artist shows but had to use Eventbrite because they had “clickable links” in their ticketing email
We needed a way for our audiences to “click” on the video link for our Live Stream event
I put in the request in April
We needed a quick fix so we wound up using Eventbrite
A few weeks ago Yapsody let me know they made changes and after a few more tweaks on your end, we’ve switched from Eventbrite to Yapsody
I made requests to remove “print this and bring it to the venue” and the scan code… and it happened almost immediately
Once I showed the theatre owner and the other producers how Yapsody has changed to meet our needs, it was a no brainer to switch to Yapsody

I use Yapsody for all my ticketing needs for Spotlight Studios for the Performing Arts in Fairport NY (a suburb of Rochester NY)
Spotlight is all about educational performances for Kindergartner through high school seniors
We produce over 20 shows a year with different age groups

Also, we have noticed that on-line sales are gradually increasing because people are accustomed to ordering tickets whenever they want no matter the time of day
Yapsody’s customer support has allowed our guests to ask questions about an event or their ticket purchases even if the office is not open
Generally, our staff tries to respond to their requests within a reasonable amount of time
