Humanly buys CareerArc to add recruitment marketing to AI hiring
14 October 2026: Humanly, a Bellevue, Washington company that sells an AI recruiting platform for high-volume hiring, has acquired CareerArc, which makes recruitment marketing software. The deal puts candidate attraction, which CareerArc handles, in the same company as the screening and interviewing Humanly already does. The release gives no price.
Not yet independently verified. The announcement is on PR Newswire only; no post was found on the Humanly or CareerArc sites. Price, closing terms and the future of the CareerArc brand were not stated. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
What each company brings
Humanly describes its platform as one that engages, screens and interviews candidates around the clock across chat, phone and video. It also covers scheduling and recruiting workflows, and the company markets it to employers that fill many similar roles.
CareerArc's portfolio, as the release lists it, has two products. HireSocial is a social recruiting platform built for talent acquisition teams, and Job Maps is an interactive career-site experience that lets candidates find openings by location. The release describes CareerArc as helping employers reach, engage and convert job seekers.
The pitch: one funnel instead of separate tools
Humanly's chief executive and co-founder Prem Kumar framed the deal around fragmentation. In the release he said high-volume employers have had to piece hiring together from disconnected tools: job boards to find candidates, software to process applications and agencies to fill the gaps. He added that CareerArc "allows us to reach candidates earlier". Later in the release he went further: "Recruiting technology has historically been built around individual steps in the funnel. We see an opportunity to connect those steps and help employers move from finding candidates to filling roles with far less friction."
The release includes a customer voice. Jason Leath, vice president of talent acquisition at World Flight Services, said the company uses both CareerArc and Humanly and finds them complementary: CareerArc helps attract candidates, Humanly moves them through the hiring process. World Flight Services is the only customer the release names.
What is not said
The announcement does not say what Humanly paid, whether the CareerArc products will keep their names, or when the two will be sold as a single package. It does not say whether existing CareerArc customers will be asked to change contracts.
