The round

  • Amount and stage: $60 million, Series C, from the company's own post.
  • Lead investor: Insight Partners.
  • Other investors named: GV, Intrepid Growth Partners, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Plural and Garuda Ventures.
  • Use of the money: to expand its agentic recruiting platform. The company's post sets a target of 250 staff by the end of the year.

What the company does

Metaview began by taking notes during job interviews and turning them into structured write-ups for hiring teams. It now offers AI agents across more of the recruiting process: sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, holding structured screening conversations, and producing interview notes. The company says more than 7,000 companies use it.

Why it matters for buyers

Recruiting is one of the business functions where AI agents are being adopted fastest, and also one of the most regulated. In the UK, the EU and several US states and cities, automated tools that screen or rank candidates bring duties around transparency, bias testing and human review. The value of tools like this depends on getting those controls right as much as on saving recruiter time.

What to check

  • Talent teams should ask which steps the agent takes on its own and which need a recruiter's approval, and how candidates are told that AI is involved.
  • HR and legal should ask for bias-audit results, data-retention settings for interview recordings, and the vendor's position under the EU AI Act, which treats many hiring uses of AI as high-risk.
  • IT should check integration with the applicant tracking system already in use.
