Procuros raises €20m to replace EDI links with AI trade connections

10 October 2026: Procuros, a German company that connects suppliers and retailers to each other's systems, has raised a 20 million euro Series A. Its website now opens with "Announcing Procuros €20M Series A". The German outlet deutsche-startups.de reports that the French investor XAnge and London's W23 Global invested, with existing backers Point Nine Capital, Square One, Creandum and b2venture.

Not yet independently verified. Procuros' own site carries the 20 million euro Series A only as a banner linking to a team member's social media post, with no dated release, and the new investors are named by deutsche-startups.de. The round's date is approximate, and the company has not stated how it will use the money. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

The problem it sells against

Trade between a supplier and a retailer still runs on many formats at once: EDIFACT and X12 messages for the large chains, XML and CSV files, spreadsheets, PDFs and supplier portals for everyone else. Setting up each trading partner has traditionally been a separate EDI project. Procuros calls itself "the infrastructure for autonomous trade" and positions its product as a replacement for EDI projects, OCR and manual data entry: a company connects once and reaches its partners in whatever format each uses, over AS2, SFTP, APIs or portals.

Its software translates partner documents into the customer's ERP, checks and corrects transactions against master data, and passes the context to AI agents that handle order processing, invoice and payment reconciliation, and logistics. Developers can build those agents through an API, through MCP or in the Procuros portal.

Who uses it

Procuros sells to both sides of the trade. For suppliers it automates order to cash across their retail customers; for retailers it covers procure to pay, purchasing, logistics and invoicing. Its other products cover e-invoicing, ERP migration, SSCC shipping labels and master data collection.

The customers shown on its site are mostly German consumer brands and retailers, among them KoRo, yfood, Ankerkraut, mymuesli, flaconi, Breuninger, followfood and Little Moons. Niche Beauty says on the site that it moved 100 existing suppliers onto Procuros in a single week, and a dashboard image on the home page shows 854 connected trade partners. Business Central is the one ERP named in a customer story.

What the company has said about the money

The company has not published a release with the use of funds. In the social media post its home page links to, a member of the Procuros team writes about building a new foundation for supply chains in which AI agents take over routine work, and about growing internationally. The site does not state the founding year, headquarters address or earlier rounds; the company trades as Procuros GmbH.

Our EDI software category lists 17 products and our supply chain management category 19. Procuros is not yet listed with us.
