Netsec raises over $10m to run IT and security as one service

6 October 2026: Netsec, a managed IT and cybersecurity operator headquartered in France and Italy, has raised more than $10 million in equity funding led by Partech, according to Partech's announcement. Primo Capital and View Different, the vehicle of Diego Piacentini, took part. Other backers include Riccardo Zacconi, Kima Ventures, Ithaca Investments, Vento, Vito Lomele, Everywhere Ventures and a group of angels from the cybersecurity and technology sectors.

Not yet independently verified. The amount is Partech's wording (more than $10 million); a French weekly roundup lists the round as 8.9 million euros. Only Partech's page was read in full. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

A dozen vendors, one accountable operator

Netsec's argument is that mid-market European companies still run device management, identity, endpoint, network, security operations and the help desk through about a dozen disconnected vendors, each with its own portal, contract and escalation path. Partech's announcement says the seams between those tools are where breaches start and costs build up. A managed service provider added on top, it argues, only adds another layer that bills by the hour and reacts after the event.

Netsec offers one operator across the whole stack, from onboarding and offboarding to SaaS and access sprawl, patching and audit evidence. Requests are handled in Slack or Teams, incidents go to a named operator, and the price is per employee rather than per ticket, on one subscription. AI-driven automation takes the repetitive work so that human operators handle judgement and response.

"Companies don't need another dashboard," said chief executive Gianluca Varisco. The company says it manages thousands of endpoints for clients in Europe and the United States after a year of activity, and that its incident response retainer shows a median response time under 14 minutes across thousands of tickets.

Two founders from Rocket Internet

Varisco and Guglielmo Reina first worked together at Rocket Internet and founded Netsec in 2025. Varisco went on to lead security at Arduino and the Italian Government's Digital Transformation Team, then joined Google Cloud as a principal security architect. Reina moved into tech investing at Global Founders Capital and 468 Capital.

Réza Malekzadeh, general partner at Partech, said managed services have always scaled with headcount and that Netsec "breaks that link". Niccolò Sanarico, partner at Primo Capital, described the team as operators who treat security as an engineering discipline.

Where the money goes and what is certified

The capital will fund the automation and integration layer, expansion of operations and growth in both markets. Barbican SAS, which trades as Netsec, is headquartered in France and Italy and holds ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications. It says it supports customers with NIS2, DORA, GDPR, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance, at a time when Partech notes ransomware, phishing and supply-chain attacks are hitting companies of every size.

Buyers weighing a per-employee managed service against an hourly provider can ask for the incident response figure with its definition, and for the list of tools Netsec operates on the customer's behalf.
