Sendcloud buys Sendy and ends shipping on it after 31 October

5 October 2026: Sendcloud, the Eindhoven shipping software company, has acquired Sendy, a Dutch platform for small and growing web shops. Sendy users can create shipments only until 31 October 2026, and after that they have to work in Sendcloud.

Not yet independently verified. Deal terms were not disclosed, so no price or ownership detail is given here. Sendcloud says carrier pickup arrangements for Sendy customers are still being discussed. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

The acquisition was announced on 5 October, and Emerce reports that no financial details were given. Sendcloud says Sendy built its position by making shipping simple for starting shops, while Sendcloud brings the wider European carrier network and the tools that matter as volumes grow, from checkout and tracking to returns. Sendy's own site describes the product as suited to shops sending up to 50,000 parcels a year. Emerce adds that Sendy, based in Veenendaal, began in 2009 as Jet Verzendt, became KeenDelivery in 2017 and took its present name in 2022. Sendcloud's earlier deals were the AI company Tracey in 2023 and Isendu of Italy in 2024.

The FAQ gives customers firm dates. Creating shipments in Sendy stops after 31 October 2026. Other account data stays available in Sendy until 31 December 2026, and historical Sendy invoices can afterwards be requested from Sendcloud customer support.

Sendcloud says it has already prepared an account for every Sendy customer, with the same carriers, shipping methods, features and users switched on. Customers log in with the email address they used at Sendy. Some things cannot be moved because Sendcloud has no access to the credentials: passwords, VAT and Chamber of Commerce numbers if never entered at Sendy, integrations and API connections, shop and brand settings such as logo and colours, and any smart shipping rules.

Two caveats apply to existing users. Sendcloud says rates or conditions of individual shipping options can differ slightly from what Sendy offered. And it has not yet confirmed that existing carrier pickup agreements will carry over; it says it is still talking to the carriers and will contact affected customers if something changes.

Sendcloud reported its first operating profit for 2025, according to an earlier Emerce article.
