Control Data Systems

Control Data Systems, known as CDS, is a privately owned Romanian technology company. It began in industrial wireless networking and now also develops communication and navigation hardware for space missions, including work funded by the European Space Agency.

What Control Data Systems offers

• Space proximity communications — preliminary design for the ESA PoC-1 mission and an inter-satellite link platform using software-defined radio.
• Ultra Wide Band devices — combined positioning and data units, qualified for flight on ispace's Mission 3 to the Moon.
• Industrial wireless gateways — the VR950, which runs ISA100 and WirelessHART networks at once for oil and gas, mining and manufacturing.
• Radio modules and kits — the VN210 module and VS210 board for building ISA100 or WirelessHART devices.
• Field Tool — a handheld unit for configuring ISA100 field devices over the air or by infrared.

Who it works with

Space agencies and missions, industrial users in aerospace, oil and gas and environmental monitoring, and partners such as ispace Europe and South Korea's CONTEC.
