Bpifrance’s open calls this autumn: ITEA software innovation closes 2 November, with Celtic-Next, Innowwide, France-Germany and data-space deadlines to December

Bpifrance has six calls open to French innovative firms: Eureka ITEA software innovation (outline by 2 November 2026), Celtic-Next (26 October), France-Taiwan (30 October), France-Germany (18 November), Innowwide (1 December) and data spaces (2 December).

Bpifrance’s open calls this autumn: ITEA software innovation closes 2 November, with Celtic-Next, Innowwide, France-Germany and data-space deadlines to December

30 September 2026 — Bpifrance, France's public investment bank, currently lists several calls for projects open to French innovative companies. Most of them fund international collaborative R&D, and one is specifically about software. The nearest deadline for a software firm is the Eureka ITEA call, whose project outlines are due on 2 November 2026. We read each call's own page on Bpifrance's site on 30 September 2026.

ITEA and Celtic-Next: international R&D through Eureka Clusters

  • ITEA (software innovation): the Eureka ITEA Cluster's international call is "in the field of software innovation". It is open to consortia of at least two partners from two countries that support the Cluster, for collaborative R&D projects with strong commercial potential. The call runs from 15 September to 2 November 2026, the deadline for the Project Outline. A full proposal follows at a second international stage.
  • Celtic-Next (ICT and telecoms): a French company with an entity from a partner country. The international Project Proposal is due on 26 October 2026.

Funding for both is national. French participants apply to their Bpifrance regional office, alongside the international submission, for an innovation grant or an unsecured loan "from 50,000 to 3 million euros". Industrial research and experimental development costs are eligible; industrialisation and marketing costs are not. The ITEA Cluster offers a matchmaking platform for finding partners.

Bilateral calls: Taiwan and Germany

  • France-Taiwan innovation partnerships: open from 1 June to 30 October 2026. French partners are funded by Bpifrance and Taiwanese partners by Taiwan's DOIT or IDA. The application goes to Bpifrance by email before 30 October.
  • France-Germany (Bpifrance / ZIM): support for innovation partnerships between French and German companies, open from 22 June to 18 November 2026. The joint application goes by email to both Bpifrance and Germany's ZIM programme office by 18 November inclusive. French participants also file a funding request in their Bpifrance online space.

Bpifrance says it can help find partners for both calls through the Enterprise Europe Network.

Innowwide: feasibility studies outside Europe

Innowwide, a Eureka programme funded by the EU under the European Partnership for Innovative SMEs, supports innovative European SMEs developing in markets outside Europe with a local partner there. The window runs from 1 October to 1 December 2026. Winners receive "60,000 euros as a grant" covering 70% of eligible costs of a market feasibility study.

Data spaces (France 2030)

A call for projects on data spaces covers software tools for data sharing. It runs to 2 December 2026 at 12:00 Paris time, and projects need a minimum expense base of 2 million euros.

What to do

  • French software companies with a European partner lined up should target the ITEA outline deadline of 2 November and contact their Bpifrance regional office in parallel.
  • Firms planning a first venture outside Europe with a local partner can apply to Innowwide from 1 October.
  • Companies with a German or Taiwanese partner should note the 18 November and 30 October deadlines.
