Pandektes

Pandektes is a legal research company founded in 2023 in Copenhagen, with additional offices in Hamburg and London. Its platform combines a database of public and proprietary case law, consolidated legislation and preparatory works with a research assistant that answers questions from those sources. The company says the system was developed together with law professors and applies legal methodology, so that each step of an answer can be traced to its source. It also tracks how sources change over time, showing the history of case law and legislative updates, and adds new legal data daily. The product is offered as a web platform, a Word add-in, an iOS app and an API, with a redaction tool among its projects. Pandektes targets in-house legal teams, public sector bodies, law firms and international law firms. Its site states that more than 500 legal organisations use it and highlights a bank customer, Nykredit, where it reports 88 percent of legal professionals are active users. The about page names two co-founders and reports total funding of 17.5 million euros.
