Lineal

Lineal is a legal data company based in Kansas City, Missouri, established in 2009. It provides eDiscovery, managed document review and related services to law firms and corporate legal teams, and it develops its own AI software under the AmplifyAI name. On 14 October 2026 it announced the acquisition of Forentec, a Swiss firm working in eDiscovery, digital forensics and open-source intelligence.

It also designs and runs review programmes, manages cost, and migrates matters to RelativityOne. A risk and compliance line covers data breach response, legal holds and data subject access requests. AmplifyAI is the software side. Its tools include ChatCraft for chat review and tagging, Images for image classification, PrivFinder for privilege detection, Snippets for keyword context, BotDetector for filtering automated email, Workflow for repeatable review steps and Command Center for watching cases and cost. The site also lists an investigation platform called Pepper.
