Dayforce supplies cloud human capital management software covering HR, payroll, time, talent, planning and analytics, and on 23 October 2026 agreed to acquire the recruiting company Ribbon AI.

About Dayforce

Dayforce is a vendor of human capital management software. Its product brings HR records, payroll, time and attendance, talent management, workforce planning and reporting together in one platform that sits on a shared data model. The company describes thousands of customers and millions of employees on the system, and its site puts the user count at 7 million. Its press release of 23 October 2026 carries a Minneapolis and Toronto dateline and is signed by David Ossip as founder and chief executive.

What it does

The suite is sold as separate areas that share the same data: Dayforce HR, Payroll, Workforce Management, Talent, and Reporting and Analytics, with an AI layer across them. Payroll is built around continuous calculation, so pay is worked out through the cycle instead of in a final rush, and the company says its global payroll reaches more than 200 countries. Workforce management covers scheduling and labour cost decisions. The company also sells implementation, integration tooling, training and managed services, and offers contingent labour and spend management. Industries it names include retail and hospitality, manufacturing, financial services, the public sector, professional services, sports and entertainment.

The Ribbon deal

On 23 October 2026 Dayforce said it had signed an agreement to acquire Ribbon AI Inc., a recruiting technology company known for automated voice and video interviews. After the transaction closes, Ribbon's technology is to be built into a new Dayforce Agentic Recruiting experience, so customers can source, screen, evaluate and contact candidates in one place. The text of the release does not give a price. Dayforce's own pages also cite a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader placement for HCM suites and a Forrester study reporting a 176% return.
