The round
- Amount and stage: €7 million, seed extension, as stated on the company's own page.
- Investors: the company's page says the round was "led by The MoonVenture, Ora Global, Cleo Ventures and CMI". Tech Funding News also named Julien Jean (JJCapinvest) and Sylvestre Blavet (Freelance.com).
- Use of the money: the company says "100% of the funds go into product and engineering", with the shipping of a suite of AI agents as the priority.
What the company does
Zeliq describes its product as an "Agentic Revenue Workspace" for business-to-business sales teams. It combines a prospect database, which it says holds more than 450 million contacts, with tools to find and enrich leads, run multi-step outreach and track replies. Its AI agent, Zelia, researches prospects and drafts outreach. The company says more than 20,000 sales representatives in 100 countries use it.
Why it matters for buyers
The sales-prospecting market is crowded, and AI agents that research and write to prospects at scale are its newest feature. For European buyers in particular, the legal basis for processing prospect contact data, and the rules on unsolicited email, matter as much as the features.
What to check
- Sales leaders should test data accuracy for their own target markets and compare reply rates in a short pilot.
- Legal and privacy teams should ask where the contact data comes from, how the vendor handles GDPR objections and deletion requests, and whether outreach volume settings help or hinder compliance with email rules such as the UK's PECR.
- Operations should check CRM integration and duplicate handling.
