Skoda Epiq

The Epiq is a compact SUV crossover for city drivers who also want to get out of town at the weekend. Skoda calls it the first model to fully embrace its Modern Solid design language, and describes its dimensions as made for narrow streets and heavy traffic. Skoda describes it as sculpted for the city and ready for bigger adventures, with a range meant for the daily commute and weekend escapes.

Range and charging

Skoda quotes a range of more than 440 km on the WLTP cycle, and says it depends on equipment. Fast charging takes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 24 minutes. The Epiq also has bidirectional charging, so the car's battery can power home appliances or outdoor gear.

Space

The boot holds 475 litres, and folding the seats opens up 1,345 litres. An optional frunk adds storage at the front. The cabin has a clutter-free Digital Cockpit with clean lines and durable materials, and the small details include four fast-charging USB-C ports, ambient lighting, an umbrella in the driver's door and mobile phone pockets.

Trims, technology and price

The Epiq Sportline adds glossy black details, sculpted bumpers, alloy wheels of up to 20 inches, bucket seats and distinctive interior accents. Skoda says the car combines intuitive assist systems with all-electric performance, and its connectivity pairs a mobile device with the car for online services. The Powerpass plan covers public charging, and Skoda offers an augmented reality view of the Epiq on a phone.
