2 October 2026: Volaris Group, the acquisition arm of Constellation Software, has bought Teknisa, a Belo Horizonte developer of management software for corporate catering, restaurants and food retail. The price was not disclosed, and Teknisa will keep operating as an independent business unit.
Not yet independently verified. The price was not disclosed, and headcount differs between sources: Volaris says over 450, Baguete says about 600. We will use the figure Teknisa confirms. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
Volaris says Teknisa was founded in 1990, serves more than 900 companies across Brazil and has over 450 employees. Its products cover kitchen, dining room, self-service and delivery operations, plus ERP, financial management, HR and service management modules. Customers range from corporate canteens to school and hospital meal services and food retailers.
The company joins Volaris Latam, which Volaris describes as Constellation Software's largest portfolio in Latin America, inside the group led by Pedro Cruz. Eduardo Miyaki, Portfolio Head of M&A at Volaris, who led the deal, said Teknisa has “a strong position in its vertical market and a solid business model based on close relationships with its clients”.
George Lima, co-founder and Co-CEO of Teknisa, said the sale opens “a new cycle of sustainable, continuous growth” and that the company will keep the principles that have guided its work.
Baguete, the Brazilian trade site that reported the deal on 6 October, gives more context on the buyer. It says Constellation, based in Toronto, holds more than a thousand software businesses with revenue of about $4bn, and that it began buying in Brazil in 2019, completing around 20 acquisitions since, not all of them announced. Baguete describes the model as buying niche software companies and gaining scale by sharing back-office functions and cross-selling between them. It puts Teknisa's headcount at about 600, higher than the figure Volaris gives.
The Volaris release frames the sale around clients and staff: Lima said the decision was taken “always prioritizing the well-being of our clients and employees”. Neither Volaris nor Baguete says whether Teknisa's founders will stay in management roles.
