Cognizant agrees to buy DyFlex, an Australian SAP partner of 300 staff

21 October 2026: Cognizant has signed a definitive agreement to acquire DyFlex Solutions, an Australian SAP Platinum Partner that provides advisory, implementation and managed services across Australia and New Zealand. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, and the price was not disclosed.

Not yet independently verified. Neither party gives a price. DyFlex's growth figures come from an interview its chief executive gave ARN in August, not from the announcement. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

What DyFlex brings

Founded in 2011, DyFlex has grown to more than 300 people, with offices in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland and a delivery presence in the Philippines. Cognizant describes it as one of the leading employers of SAP talent in the two countries. Its work spans SAP transformation in finance, digital supply chain, asset maintenance, human capital management, and data and analytics, with particular depth in SAP's public cloud edition, and its sector experience runs from mining and resources, energy and utilities, manufacturing and logistics to the public sector and the mid-market.

DyFlex entered New Zealand in October 2025 by buying the local SAP partner Bluetree Solutions, which added just over 50 people, ARN reports. Chief executive Evan Mantis told ARN in August that headcount had grown 300% and revenue 350% over three years. "Joining Cognizant would be an exciting next chapter for our clients and colleagues," he said in the announcement. ARN names Five V Capital as the private equity firm backing DyFlex.

Why Cognizant wants it

Cognizant, based in Teaneck, New Jersey, presents the deal as part of its strategy of selling itself as an "AI Builder": combining DyFlex's local SAP teams with its own AI assets, industry practices and offshore delivery. Roshan Subudhi, who heads Cognizant's intelligent enterprise platforms, said DyFlex brings "deep SAP consulting capabilities that are key to reimagining SaaS". Carla Ramchand, Cognizant's managing director for Australia and New Zealand, said clients there want "practical pathways to modernise core platforms while adopting cloud, data and AI capabilities".

What DyFlex clients should expect

Until the deal closes the two companies operate separately, so current projects, contracts and teams are unchanged for now. The questions worth raising with DyFlex before closing are practical ones: whether named consultants stay on existing engagements, whether delivery shifts towards Cognizant's offshore centres, and how rate cards and contract terms move once agreements transfer. Mid-market clients, who chose an independent pure-play SAP partner, have most to watch, since a global services firm tends to price and staff for larger accounts.
