Assembler AI, a Montreal computer vision company, makes Operator Vision: one camera per manual workstation that flags missed steps, wrong parts and slow cycles in real time and gives engineers step-level cycle times.
Assembler AI is a Montreal company that applies computer vision to manual work in manufacturing. Its product, Operator Vision, puts one camera over a station where people assemble by hand and follows every cycle, so that a skipped step or a wrong part is caught at the bench instead of at final test or by the customer. The company closed a $4 million seed round in October 2026 and says it is moving beyond a limited set of pre-launch customers.
Operator Vision reads the plant's existing work instructions to learn the steps, tools and parts at a station, and the company says a station can be live within two weeks. Four modules use the same camera feed. Real-time quality alerts flag a missed step, a wrong part or a broken sequence, with the video attached. Automated time studies give step-level cycle times across every station and shift, with video for each outlier. Teammate AI guides the operator through the sequence while the piece is still at the station. Risk detection flags actions such as a part dropped on the floor or a step into the wrong zone.
The product is aimed at quality engineers, continuous improvement engineers, operations leaders and production managers in plants that rely on manual assembly, and the company is focused on North American manufacturers. Its funding announcement does not name customers.
