Routeware was founded in Portland, Oregon over 20 years ago
Right from the start, we have been focused on providing municipalities and private haulers with technology for their solid waste fleets

As customers embedded our technology in their operations, they began to ask how Routeware could help them address more challenges — and whether we could help integrate different systems

To fulfill these needs, we developed new capabilities, found innovative ways to apply technologies such as real-time video to solid waste collection, and acquired some of the best solid waste software products in the market — then integrated them with our solutions

These acquisitions add significantly to the quantity and quality of Routeware’s experience in the waste industry
They also allow us to provide enhanced service to our customers, including industry-leading route optimization and more products and features to fulfill special waste needs

Our first acquisition was EasyRoute, and its parent company Webaspx, the leading route optimization software for solid waste collection and street sweeping services
This software helps our customers lower costs, improve performance, and reduce risk as they design new routes

We also have acquired two back-office system suppliers, extending our existing integrations and partnerships with them to allow more data sharing
Core Computing Solutions gives us access to one of the most trusted waste ERP systems
Core bills and manages customers, tracks materials and inventory, and reports on every aspect of financial and operational activities
The addition of RouteOptix gave us similar capabilities with a focus on haulers of special waste, such as liquid and hazardous waste

Our next acquisition, Andrews Software, Inc
, gives us expertise in document management and destruction, as well as disposal of highly regulated medical waste

Most recently we have joined with ReCollect, the number one provider of self-serve tools for recycling education and outreach
ReCollect helps municipalities and private haulers communicate better with the people they serve to reduce recycling contamination and lower call volumes with delightful, custom-branded mobile apps and website tools
As the world leader in waste communications software, ReCollect integrates with a wide variety of back-office systems, giving customers one solution for customer-facing communication
