Triton

Triton provides online background checks in Canada for individuals and for organisations that screen staff. Results for a criminal record check are delivered by email, usually within about quarter of an hour.

Main features

• Criminal record checks: a search of the national police information database through an accredited agency.
• Social media checks: a review that flags harmful content, with the full report shared.
• Combined bundle: criminal and social media checks together.
• Pre-employment screening: credit, reference, education, credential and employment history verification for businesses.

Who it works with

Job applicants and volunteers who need a check, plus companies, government agencies and police departments. Triton notes its standard check cannot serve as a vulnerable sector check, which must come from a local police service.
