UBTECH Robotics

UBTECH Robotics Corp Ltd is a Shenzhen company that makes humanoid robots and smart service robots. It was founded in March 2012 and has been listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 29 December 2023 under the code 9880. Its stated mission is to bring intelligent robots into every family and make everyday life more convenient.

What it builds

The company groups its output into four lines. The humanoid range includes the Walker S2, S1, S, C1, C and X, the Cruzr Y1 and S2, the U1 PRO and the Panda Robot. Commercial robots include the Cruzr 1S and the CADEBOT L100. For education it sells Walker Tienkung, UGOT, uKit AI, uKit Explore and Yanshee, and for households it offers Alpha Mini, Alpha 1E, AIRROBO pool cleaners and robot vacuums, UBPet and UBHOME robotic lawn mowers. Behind the hardware it names four technology clusters: an embodied AI brain, a humanoid cerebellum, high-performance hardware and swarm intelligence, along with its Thinker family of foundation, world and action models.

History and where it works

Its timeline starts with the small Alpha humanoid in 2014, and 540 Alpha robots performed at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala in 2016. The first Walker followed in 2018, robots appeared at the Beijing Winter Olympics opening in 2022, and Walker S1 training in automotive factories began in 2024. The Walker S2 launched in 2025 and entered mass production. The site lists application areas of industrial manufacturing, exhibition halls, colleges and research institutions, warehousing and logistics, and elderly care. Besides Shenzhen it has a factory in Baoan District, an EU office in Nijmegen in the Netherlands and a robotics experience centre in Singapore.
