Doosan Robotics wins two Korean Physical AI projects worth KRW 98.9 billion
About KRW 68.1 billion of the budget is government money. One project builds cobots with on-device AI chips, the other an AI welding system…
Builds collaborative, mobile and quadruped robots and their core components for factories, logistics and food service.
Rainbow Robotics is a Sejong company that develops collaborative, mobile, quadruped and dual-arm robots, along with the core components it uses in them. It traces its roots to the HUBO humanoid robot developed at KAIST, starting in 2011. The company says it makes its core parts in house and offers its software free of charge.
Customer examples on the site include an automotive parts maker using cobots for plastic injection part inspection and separation, a corporate cafeteria that automates frying with the RB5-850N, a logistics firm palletizing with the RB20-1900, and a shipbuilder using cobots for automated arc welding. Installation, operation and after-sales support are provided by a technical support team and by professional partners.
Rainbow Robotics says its robots are easy to deploy and scale, with one integrated system to manage them. A modular structure can be replaced part by part. The company states its initial cost is low, and that operating costs fall as usage rises. At one auto parts maker using cobots, the site reports 100% inspection accuracy and a 130% rise in productivity.
