Siigo buys Chile's Bsale and pledges $100m for Latin America

2 October 2026: Siigo, the Colombian accounting and administration software group, has bought Bsale, a Chilean cloud sales system for retail and commerce businesses. Siigo says it will put US$100 million over the coming years into Bsale, to take the platform into new markets in the region and to build AI tools. The price of the purchase was not disclosed, and the reports give no closing date.

Not yet independently verified. Both sources report the companies' joint announcement; the original press release was not found. The price and closing date are not disclosed. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

Bsale was founded in 2006 by the brothers Gustavo and Elvira Montero. Its platform combines electronic invoicing, inventory, till operations, automatic reports and multi-branch sales, for shops and online stores alike. It operates in Chile, Peru and Mexico, and the reports say only that thousands of businesses use it, without a count.

Siigo describes itself as a regional leader in accounting and administrative software, with a presence in six countries, more than 4,500 staff and 1.3 million small businesses and accountants. It is backed by the investment firm Accel-KKR. The deal adds a point-of-sale and sales layer to an accounting product, and follows the group's 2025 purchase of Kame, another Chilean software company.

David Ortiz, chief executive of Siigo Latam, called Bsale's arrival "un hito para Siigo", a milestone for the group, and said the aim is to double Bsale's size in the next few years. Elvira Montero, a Bsale co-founder, said joining Siigo is a strategic decision that will let the company help entrepreneurs, and that Bsale's customers will have the backing of a solid regional organisation.

For existing Bsale customers in Chile, Peru and Mexico, the reports do not mention any change to contracts, pricing or the product itself. Neither company has published a migration or integration timetable, so any change to terms would arrive later as a notice from Bsale.
