Torii

Torii is a software management company whose platform finds the SaaS applications and AI tools used across an organisation and links each one to its users, owners and cost. On 12 October 2026 it announced a definitive agreement to be acquired by Freshworks, with closing expected in Freshworks' fourth fiscal quarter of 2026. Until then Torii says it continues to operate as an independent company.

What it does

Torii is organised around three products. SaaS Management covers application discovery, cost optimisation and renewal management, including the detection of shadow IT through signals such as browser extensions and OAuth grants. Identity Governance and Administration handles entitlement discovery, access requests with owner routing and approvals, access reviews and audit trails. The AI Management Platform tracks AI spend by user, time and model, monitors keys, tokens and agents, and flags overlapping AI tools.

Other features the company describes include automatic reclaiming of unused licences based on usage data, ingestion of contracts to spot renewal clauses, management of non-human identities, and governance of AI agents. It offers hundreds of pre-built integrations, with custom ones possible through an API or CSV, and it can be reached through a web app, an API, a command line tool and its own agents.

Who it serves

Torii presents the product to IT, security and finance teams in both scale-ups and large enterprises. Customer logos on its site include Zip, Manscaped and HiBob among scale-ups, and Hearst, Fiverr, Koch Industries and Payoneer among enterprises. Its announcement says software management is meant to run inside the IT systems customers already use, such as the service desk, the configuration database and asset management workflows, which is the link to Freshworks.
