Apiax AG, founded in 2017 and based in Zurich, builds regtech that embeds compliance into the tools of financial institutions: cross-border, content, suitability and tax, policy and succession. Behavox announced its acquisition in October 2026.
Apiax AG is a regulatory technology company based in Zurich, Switzerland, founded in 2017. Its stated mission is to embed compliance into the digital economy. The company maintains a repository of answers to regulatory questions in the financial industry, together with applications to govern, validate, audit, distribute and consume those answers, and cloud infrastructure and a knowledge base for developers.
Its site presents this as embedded compliance for financial institutions, working inside the tools that marketing, sales and relationship management teams already use. The offering is organised into five areas: cross-border compliance, content compliance, suitability and tax compliance, policy compliance, and succession compliance. Cross-border compliance addresses the rules that apply when a bank or adviser serves clients in another country, and content compliance addresses what may be said or distributed to clients.
Apiax says its customers range from fintech firms to globally operating banks, though its public pages do not name them. Its listed investors are Headline, XAnge, Futury and Zürcher Kantonalbank. The only office its about page lists is the Zurich headquarters.
In October 2026 Behavox, the London compliance software company, announced that it had acquired Apiax and that the existing product and support would continue.
