TrustList summary

Range Rover Electric is the existing large Range Rover with the engine replaced by two electric motors, and it is built for owners who want the same size, comfort and off-road ability with zero tailpipe emissions. Range Rover describes it as the quietest Range Rover yet, and it is sold in the UK through the dedicated Range Rover site.

Range and charging

The WLTP range is up to 372 miles (600 km), and Range Rover gives an estimated real-world range of 333 miles (535 km). On a 350 kW rapid DC charger the battery goes from 10 to 80 percent in about 22 minutes, adding up to 136 miles (220 km) in 10 minutes. At home, a 22 kW AC charger fills the battery from empty in about 7 hours, and a 7 kW charger takes about 19 hours. An optional second, illuminated AC charging port lets you plug in on either side of the car.

Motors, battery and capability

Two 260 kW motors drive the car, with 850 Nm of torque available in the Dynamic Launch and Off Road modes. The battery uses 344 nickel manganese cobalt cells in a double-stack layout, protected by a flat underbody. Towing capacity is up to 2,500 kg and wading depth is up to 900 mm. Single-pedal driving works with Terrain Response to bring the car to a halt without touching the brakes. A system called ThermAssist is said to cut heating energy use by 40 percent, to help keep range steady in cold weather.

Cabin and quiet

The cabin uses acoustic laminated glass, near-silent propulsion and optional Active Noise Cancellation to create quiet zones for each passenger. Cabin Air Purification Pro adds PM 2.5 filtration and nanoe X technology, and CO2 Management monitors air quality. Upholstery options include Ultrafabrics and Kvadrat wool blends. The Remote app can locate, check and control the car from a compatible smartphone.

Warranty and ownership

The battery is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles (160,000 km), whichever comes first. Range Rover also shows a business contract hire example for the 27MY EV550 Autobiography at £2,105 plus VAT a month over 48 months at 10,000 miles a year, available on vehicles registered between 1 October and 31 December 2026.
