Polestar 3

The Polestar 3 is a large electric SUV that Polestar says drives like a sports car, for a buyer who wants a long-distance family car with fast charging and a flat-floored cabin. It was revealed in 2022, production started in South Carolina in the United States in 2024, and the model is delivered in Europe and the US. Euro NCAP gave it five stars in 2025.

Range and charging

The UK range figure is up to 402 miles of WLTP, about 647 km, based on the Dual motor car. The car uses an 800 V architecture and accepts DC charging at up to 350 kW. Polestar lists a 10 to 80 percent charge in 22 minutes, and notes that the charging times are preliminary data and subject to final certification. Polestar does not state a battery capacity or charge port.

Performance and price

Power reaches up to 670 bhp in the Performance version, which Polestar rates at 60 mph in 3.8 seconds with energy consumption of 33.0 to 37.2 kWh per 100 miles. The UK starting price is £76,540. Polestar also advertises £10,000 off the list price for orders placed between 1 October 2026 and 6 January 2027, subject to the offer conditions and the financing chosen.

Design and interior

A front aero wing attaches air to the bonnet to improve aerodynamic efficiency and extend range, and a rear aero wing and side aeroblades add downforce. The full-length panoramic roof has an optional electrochromic film to reduce glare. The interior has a completely flat floor and a comfortable distance between seat rows, and upholstery options include animal welfare-secured Nappa leather and wool. Polestar gives a cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of 24.5 tCO2e for the Rear motor and 25.9 tCO2e for the Dual motor.

Software and warranty

Regular over-the-air updates and one year of connected services plus are included, and a built-in voice assistant controls climate and plans routes. The Polestar Charge app gathers the largest charging networks in Europe. The vehicle warranty is three years or 60,000 miles, and the battery warranty is 8 years or 100,000 miles, about 160,934 km, with a 12-year corrosion warranty.
