The EV9 is the largest electric SUV on the Kia UK range. The page lists Air, GT-Line and GT-Line S trims with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and the configurator also shows a GT-Line S six-seat option. It uses a 99.8 kWh battery.
Kia quotes up to 349 miles on the WLTP cycle for the rear-wheel-drive car on 19 inch wheels and up to 316 miles for the all-wheel-drive car on 21 inch wheels. The page states 154 miles of range added in 15 minutes and a 10 to 80 percent charge in 24 minutes, with full speed needing an 800V charger delivering at least 210 kW. The only plug type it names is Type 2, for the Mode 3 charging cable, so the car's own port is not given here.
The assistance list is Highway Driving Assist 2 with hands-on detection, Lane Following Assist 2, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2.0, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 and Multi-Collision Brake.
For cars sold from May 2021 with OTA-enabled navigation, Kia includes two free over-the-air updates of maps and head unit software, then offers updates through its web page or a dealership. The Kia App provides real-time traffic, nearby charging stations, parking and weather on board, plus remote battery control, remote climate control and Last Mile Navigation off board. Kia Connect services are free for seven years.
Prices start at 66,645 pounds for the Air. The manufacturer warranty is seven years or 100,000 miles, with eight years or 100,000 miles of battery cover for cars registered from 1 January 2024 and a 70 percent capacity guarantee.
