TrustList summary

The ET7 is the saloon for a driver who spends a lot of time on expressways and wants long range without waiting at a charger. The official page covers the 2024 model year, and NIO sells the car in China. It pairs dual-motor all-wheel drive with business-class rear seats and battery swapping.

Battery and swapping

NIO describes a 150 kWh ultralong-range pack. Each cell is monitored in real time and a battery health check is carried out at every swap. A fully automated swap takes about three minutes, and swap stations are found in urban areas and along expressways. Because the battery is separate from the vehicle, owners can use a standard-range pack for the daily commute and switch to a long-range pack for longer trips. NIO says the ET7 achieved over 1,000 km in a real-life range challenge, while the official CLTC figure is an estimate that varies with conditions.

Performance and chassis

Dual-motor all-wheel drive is standard, with 850 N·m of peak torque from a silicon carbide drive system and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds. The drag coefficient is 0.208. Smart Air Suspension works with Continuous Damping Control, and the car has Brembo 6-piston front calipers.

Cabin

The rear seats adjust up to 14 ways, and each seat has its own display for video conferencing, navigation and cinema content. A 16.3 inch head-up display shows driving information, and the sound system is 7.1.4. The NIO app orders a one-click power service.

Driver assistance and safety

NIO Aquila Super Sensing has 33 sensing units, including an ultralong-range LiDAR, seven 8 megapixel cameras, five millimeter-wave radars and ultrasonic sensors. The ADAM computing cluster uses four Nvidia Orin X chips and a Qualcomm SA8295P, with 1,016 TOPS. NIO states the system is for driver assistance only. Seven airbags are fitted, including a 45 litre front center airbag.
