Xiaomi YU7

The YU7 is Xiaomi's electric SUV for long journeys. It pairs a long wheelbase and a roomy cabin with a large front and rear luggage space, and it suits families who want to carry camping gear, bikes or skis without folding down every seat. The Xiaomi China site shows a starting price of 233,500 yuan, with a YU7 GT also listed and a GT with a Track Package due to open for pre-sale in 2026.

Range, battery and charging

Xiaomi quotes a range of up to 835 km on the CLTC cycle, shown beside a 101.7 kWh battery. Two battery chemistries are described: lithium iron phosphate and mid-nickel single-crystal ternary lithium. The car uses a silicon carbide high-voltage platform. The Max reaches a peak voltage of 897V, and the standard YU7 needs a charger of 750V or higher for fast charging. A drag coefficient of 0.245 was measured on the Max at 120 km/h in a Chinese wind tunnel.

Space and comfort

Total storage is up to 1,970 L, with 36 storage spaces, a 141 L electric front trunk, a 13.7 L glovebox and a 4.6 L fridge that holds six cans. The rear seats fold in a 40/60 split. Seats offer massage and a 25-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system is listed. A large panoramic display system projects information below the windscreen, and the cockpit runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

Driver assistance

Every YU7 comes with Xiaomi HAD, which uses one lidar, one 4D millimeter-wave radar and 12 ultrasonic sensors, plus the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor computing platform. Xiaomi lists 20 active safety functions as standard and states that the driver remains responsible for driving. Some chassis and display features arrive through over-the-air updates.

Chassis

The chassis offers closed dual-chamber air springs and continuously variable dampers, and the front brakes use four-piston Brembo calipers. Wheels are 19 to 21 inches, with 275 mm rear tyres optional.
