Teradyne Robotics sues a JAKA unit over patents and settles with Elite
The Copenhagen case could produce a ruling covering 17 of the 18 Unified Patent Court states. The Elite Robots dispute ended by…
Universal Robots UR10g: a g-Series cobot with 8 kg payload (10 kg extended) and 1750 mm reach, with Ethernet and 24/48 V power at the tool flange.

The UR10g-1750 is the long-reach arm of Universal Robots' g-Series, marked as new on the maker's site. It is presented as the follow-on to the UR8 Long: the same precise linear motion and high-speed acceleration, now with an upgraded tool flange. Payload is 8 kg, extendable to 10 kg, with a 1750 mm reach and a 5 m/s maximum tool centre point speed.
Payload, reach, speed and weight match the older model at 44.7 kg. The difference is at the wrist. The g-Series tool flange integrates 1 Gb Ethernet, 24 V or 48 V power (5 A peak, 3 A continuous) and safety-rated inputs, so cameras, sensors and higher-power end effectors can connect without separate cabling to the controller. Universal Robots says M8 compatibility keeps existing accessories usable. For integrators fitting vision or force tooling to a long arm, this removes a run of cable along the structure.
All g-Series arms are rated IP65 for industrial production, with an enclosed joint design and fewer components, and a ring of LEDs at the base shows cell status at a glance.
Next to the UR17g and UR18g, the UR10g carries the least but reaches the furthest. The g-Series overview describes a family of 10 to 18 kg payloads, up to 5 m/s and up to 1750 mm reach, aimed at faster integration into complete automation systems. The g-Series sits within what the maker calls its Gen 7 platform, and its overview page mentions the SP7 Smart Panel, a detachable panel with a Freedrive button and configurable buttons for PolyScope X.
The model page itself does not list industries or applications. The series text points to cameras, sensors and higher-power end effectors as the drivers for the design, but the maker names no specific sectors for this arm.
