Datanet.co.uk

Datanet.co.uk runs rack space, colocation and hosting for businesses from the ARK data centre at Farnborough, a site it describes as Tier 3+ and sitting about 15 miles outside the M25. The company pitches itself as an outer-London home for servers, and it also supplies connectivity, backup and security services around that hosting.

What Datanet.co.uk offers

• Racks and colocation: full and third racks for customers who want to house their own physical and virtual servers.
• Physical and virtual hosting: server hosting for firms outgrowing their current provider, including private cloud builds on VMware vSAN and Nutanix.
• Connectivity: links between multiple offices and applications, managed and supported by local engineers.
• Backup and recovery: backup for VMware and physical hosting delivered with Veeam.
• Cyber security: physical and virtual protection for hosted data.

Customers and markets

The firm names government bodies, local authorities, managed service providers, IT support companies, charities and businesses of all sizes as users of the facility. Case studies include an architecture practice that hosts cloud workstations there and an IT services firm that moved its hosting in.
