This page ranks app development companies listed under the medical heading, covering studios that build mobile, web and enterprise software, some with healthcare clients among their work. TrustList lists 1,354 of them, and 267 earned a rank number in the Q4 2026 edition. Of the ranked companies, 16 cite ISO 9001 and 14 cite ISO 27001, 11 are Microsoft partners, nine are AWS partners and six cite SOC 2. A total of 197 state a founding date, most often in the 2010s (90) or 2000s (81). India is the most common base, with ten ranked companies.

The order reflects evidence TrustList held on 5 October 2026: client reviews, vetting, awards and facts each company states on its own website, which we read and dated. Nobody pays to be placed. How to choose app development companies

1. Ask about health data experience
If your app will hold patient or health information, ask for examples of similar projects, and who on the team has handled that kind of data before.
2. Check data protection duties
Ask where data will be stored, who can access it, and how the company supports the privacy rules that apply in your country. Ask for these answers in writing.
3. Find out about regulation
Some apps count as medical devices and need regulatory approval before use. Ask whether the company has dealt with that and who is responsible for it.
4. Look at security practices
Ask about security certifications, penetration testing, access controls and how incidents are reported to you. Request evidence rather than relying on a logo.
5. Agree ownership and handover
Confirm in the contract that you own the code, designs and data, and that you receive source code, documentation and accounts if the relationship ends.
6. Plan for support after launch
Apps need updates for new phone software and security fixes. Ask what support is included, how quickly faults are fixed, and what ongoing costs to expect.
