Tactful AI makes software for customer service and digital sales teams: one platform where conversations from every channel arrive in a single inbox, are analysed, and can be handled by AI agents that take actions as well as answer. The company was founded in Egypt by engineers with backgrounds in semiconductor design and enterprise software, and today has its head office in Cambridge, UK, its engineering in Cairo and partners across the Gulf states.

What it does

The platform combines a unified inbox for agents, supervisor tools for real-time monitoring and quality checks, analytics dashboards, visual workflow automation, ticketing and integrations through APIs. Its AI agents can resolve requests such as order tracking or cart recovery, and every action an agent takes is governed and logged. Proactive messaging, for example a WhatsApp update on a delivery before the customer asks, is one of the uses it highlights. The company says the platform has processed more than 130 million engagements.

Who it serves

Tactful names ecommerce, financial services, digital businesses, education and hospitality as its industries, and sells to customer experience managers, contact centre supervisors, ecommerce managers and IT teams. Customers it names include Elaraby Group, Raneen, 2B, Lucky One, Erada Finance and Simplex.

Funding

Its pre-Series A round, announced in February 2026, was co-led by Foras AI and M Empire. On 19 October 2026 it announced an extension of that round with an investment from Hatem Dowidar, the former Group CEO of e&, without disclosing terms, and said it plans to raise a Series A in 2027.
