rsync.net sells cloud storage for offsite backup over SSH-based tools, billed per gigabyte with no egress charges and no contracts.
rsync.net sells cloud storage designed for offsite backup. Customers reach their storage over standard open tools such as rsync, SFTP and similar SSH-based protocols, with integration guides for Linux and Unix, Windows, macOS and NAS devices. It is capacity storage billed by the gigabyte rather than a virtual machine platform.
The company lists locations in Fremont, California and Denver, Colorado in the United States, Zurich in Switzerland and Tseung Kwan O in Hong Kong, and says there is no price difference between them and that accounts can be moved from one location to another. Storage is held on ZFS arrays with automatic point-in-time snapshots that can be configured as immutable, and support is provided by phone and email. A reseller programme and regulatory documentation such as GDPR and HIPAA material are listed.
According to its pricing page in October 2026, storage costs 1.5 cents per gigabyte per month for 0 to 9 terabytes (with an 800 GB minimum order), 1.25 cents for 10 to 99 terabytes and 0.75 cents for 100 terabytes and above. The page states there are no egress charges and no contracts.
