Hover

Hover is a domain registrar that sells domain name registration and transfers. Its home page lists more than 300 domain extensions (its about page says over 400) and an email service tied to the customer's own domain. Hover states that its parent company is Tucows, a registrar accredited by ICANN since 1999; Hover itself was formed in 2009 from Tucows' domain brands.

The page states that WHOIS privacy is included at no extra cost and that two-factor authentication is available on accounts. Hover concentrates on domains and email rather than selling web hosting, and its Hover Connect tool links a domain to a service hosted elsewhere in a few clicks, so customers who want a website would normally point their domain at a host elsewhere. A reseller programme is also offered.

Email comes as custom domain mailboxes from $2.50 a month, personal "Realnames" addresses of the firstname@lastname type, and a mail-forwarding option at $5 a year that cannot send from the domain address.
